Barcelonnnnna! We have arrived.

So after one of our longer days of this trip, we finally arrived in Espana, in Barcelona!! I was in love just while driving around making our way to the hotel.

It's such a clean city, with so much charm and character. Beautiful views, cafes, and architecture on the buildings. I love how almost all of the buildings had an artistic feel to them, with beautiful Spanish balconies and flower boxes hanging from them!!!

We did a driving tour into the city and went by Mount Juic and were able to get a view of the city.

We then went by the famous masterpiece of Gaudi: Sagrada Familia. This church was his prized possession and he was obsessed with the design of it well into the years before his tragic death in 1926. The church was not finished at the time and it still is not, the plan is to have it completed by 2026 which is the 100th death anniversary of Gaudi.

We then got to the hotel to get checked in and ready for our group dinner at Ca'narmengol. This was such an adorable family owned restaurant and the food was great!!! We ordered Sangria at my table to celebrate our first night in Barcelona! Salud!

After dinner we were all ready for a night out! We hadn't been out the first few nights of our tour because everyone was just tired and getting acclimated to the tour, so we were definitely overdue!

We pregamed and then headed out to the boardwalk on the Port which is surrounded by the Mediterranean Sea, for some hookah, drinks, and dancing!!!  ;)   It was so much fun, we got tons of free shots, and drinks at all the bars, plus me and Tia had our share of hookah, but I'll keep the story behind this between us!  ;)

  1. It really is such a beautiful city with so much culture! A perfect blend of modernism and tradition. One week in only and look at all you've seen! Wish I didn't have to move, this would have been an amazing trip for us to take, maybe we'll go somewhere else in our 40s ;)
