Stonehenge and Bath- England

So once, I was finally able to get up and going, my parents took me to some cities near where they live, for me to view the "country side" and some other famous sites, outside of London.

First stop: The Famous Stonehenge

Stonehenge is a formation from prehistoric times, and is believed to have evolved some time between 3000 BC and 1600 BC. The stones are aligned with the rising and setting of the sun at the solstices, but it's exact purpose of being here is still unknown after all these years.  Under the Stonehenge, and surrounding it, are plenty of burial mounds as well. The actual Stonehenge structure is made up of two different types of stones:  1) Sarsens and 2) BlueStones.

It was really pretty cool to see this, since everyone hears about this structure, but few actually come away from London to see it.

Then it was off to Bath, England, which to be honest, I had not heard of prior to my visit, but it has so much culture and history behind it:

Bath, as its name implies was first established and named by the Romans as a spa area. They built "baths" around the hot springs and river located within the city. The city has an "abbey" (basically a religious institution/church), which is where King Edward I was crowned.

This sums up my first day abroad, lots to tell for my next post....I'm off to London next, but this is all for now....
